Blog Reflection

So i have finally mastered blogging... well almost. I have just spent hours trying to customise my blog and reading through all the blogs from other e-learning students... i have never blogged before and to be honest it makes me feel a little nervous, but i have been thinking a lot about blogging and decided to put my own reflection of blogging up here with some positives and negatives that i have come across so far. So here goes.. welcome to my blog =] 

Positives

• Blogging is free 
• Creates and promotes all types of discussions 
• A place to voice ideas and opinions
• Connect socially with people 
• You can interact with a preferred group of people that share your same interest
• Receive and give feedback 
• Students can interact with their class and have multiple discussions on the topic of interest 
• Teachers can supervise the blog and get an idea of what the students are thinking
• Provides a fun way for students to improve reading and righting  
• Encourages students to give their opinions and ideas due to the fun environment
• Videos and pictures can easily be put up and accessed

Negatives

• Blogs can be difficult to create and set up 
• Anything can be blogged 
• Students may believe everything they read and not consider that it is not always factual 
• Privacy setting need to be used as anyone can read or comment on a blog
• Bullying can occur through negative feedback 
• Students may get distracted online 

Considering these positives and negatives however, i think blogging is a great way of interacting and accessing ideas and opinions as well as voicing your own. =]
